Emergency Medical Care

Emergency Medicaid (EM) is a program that provides medical coverage for uninsured individuals who have experienced a medical emergency. It's available to people who don't qualify for Medicaid due to their immigration status.

Services: Medical care and services for serious health issues that require immediate medical attention. Conditions like heart attacks, severe pain, and labor and delivery


MinnesotaCare (MNCare)

As of January 2025, undocumented individuals with incomes up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Level can enroll. This program offers comprehensive health coverage plans with copays/deductibles depending on the individual’s income.


State-Funded MA (CHIP-Funded)

Covers pregnant individuals from conception through the 60-day postpartum period, even if they don't qualify for federal MA due to immigration status.
