Note that Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and Prenatal Care are not available to undocumented children and pregnant women. 


Emergency Medical Care

Hospitals must provide emergency treatment under the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA), and West Virginia offers reimbursement for specific emergency services for non-citizens that are low income


CHIP FCEP 

West Virginia uses federal CHIP funds to provide prenatal care (including labor/delivery and postpartum) to pregnant women, regardless of their immigration status, to protect the newborn's health.
