Note that undocumented pregnant women may be eligible for Emergency Medical Assistance (EMA) to cover labor and delivery (and during pregnancy, if they have an emergency medical condition). 


Emergency Medical Care

Hospitals must provide emergency treatment under the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA), and Utah offers reimbursement for specific emergency services for non-citizens that are low income


Utah's State CHIP Program

Eligibility: For children under 19 who are income-eligible (living below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level) and whose parents have a working status but lack other insurance or federal eligibility.

Services: Covers medical and dental services.
