Emergency Medical Care

Hospitals must provide emergency treatment under the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA), and Oregonoffers reimbursement for specific emergency services for non-citizens that are low income


Healthier Oregon (OHP Expansion)

In July 2023, Oregon's Medicaid program (OHP) was expanded to cover all low-income individuals, including undocumented immigrants, removing previous restrictions and waiting periods.


Eligibility: Anyone meeting income and other criteria for OHP, regardless of their immigration status, can get coverage, including children, adults, and seniors.


Services: Primary care, dental, mental health, prescriptions, hospital stays, and transportation.
